Tandem skydiving – Dunaújváros Airport
Within 50 km of Budapest unfortunately it is not possible to organize a tandem skydive as it is forbidden to rise above 1500 m due to international air traffic – and this is not high enough for a tandem jump!
Therefore, the organization takes place in Budapest, and the tandem jump takes place at DUNAÚJVÁROS AIRPORT, which is easily and quickly accessible, located 8 km south of Dunaújváros town. It is only 40 minutes drive from Budapest on the M6 motorway.
This airport can be reached the fastest from the capital! Plus, it’s in the middle of the country, so it’s easily accessible from basically any direction. The M6 is a less busy motorway, so you don’t have to expect traffic jams and long waits on the weekends as with the M7 motorway!

BUDAPEST – DUNAÚJVÁROS AIRPORT – BUDAPEST
Please be informed that there is no public transport directly to the jump location from Budapest city. You need to combine bus or train and taxi to get to the jump location. If you are not familiar with Hungarian public transport and you do not know the area we recommend to order a private transfer and so avoid taking the wrong train or bus and loosing the chance to do the skydive.
It takes about 40 minutes to get to the jump location by car but it depends on traffic as well.
Upon request our partner company (we have been working together for 9 years) can provide transfer from all areas of Budapest to the jump location and back under the following conditions.
Below prices are valid from April. 2023:
TWO-WAY FARES (from Budapest city – to the jump location – and back to Budapest city)
- for 1-2 passengers: 160 EUR/car
- for 3-4 passengers: 190 EUR/car
- for 5-8 passengers: 300 EUR/2 cars or 1 minivan
The fares are the same from any area of Budapest and include the waiting fee at the jump location (1 take-off or 1 jump usually takes 2 hours in full).
PAYMENT METHOD:
The fares should be paid to the car driver in CASH.

and/or NO LATER THAN 3 DAYS BEFORE THE JUMP DATE!

ON THE M6 HIGHWAY:
Coming from the south and north (from Budapest), leave the M6 motorway via exit 75 (M8 / Pentele híd / Dunaújváros – dél), then turn onto the M8 motorway and head towards Baja / Dunaújváros / Dunaföldvár. Take the first exit from the M8 and continue on road number 6 (towards Dunaújváros / Dunaföldvár), where a roundabout follows. Leave the roundabout at the first exit in the direction of Dunaföldvár. Shortly after the roundabout there will be the entrance to town of Kisapostag on the left (where you don’t have to go!!!), you just continue on road number 6 for approx. 500 m more to south towards Pécs and Dunaföldvár. The airport is on the right-hand side of road no. 6. Above the entrance you can see a large “Dunaújváros Airport” sign.
ON ROAD 6:
ARRIVING FROM THE NORTH:
Take road 6 in the direction of Dunaújváros / Dunaföldvár / Pécs. When you reach Dunaújváros, continue from there for 8 km – so you have to go through Dunaújváros in the direction of Dunaföldvár / Pécs, staying on road 6. Just before reach the entrance for M6 and M8 motorways and the Pentele bridge, there will bi a petrol station (“Duna Petrol”) and restaurant (“Préri” restaurant) on the right hand side, followed by a roundabout. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Dunaföldvár (go straight on on road 6) and. Shortly after the roundabout there will be the entrance to town of Kisapostag on the left (where you don’t have to go!!!), you just continue on road number 6 for approx. 500 m more to south towards Pécs and Dunaföldvár. The airport is on the right-hand side of road no. 6. Above the entrance you can see a large “Dunaújváros Airport” sign.
ARRIVING FROM THE SOUTH:
Take road 6 towards Dunaföldvár / Dunaújváros / Budapest. Reaching Dunaföldvár, continue on road 6 for approx. 10 km. The airport is just off road 6 on the left. From the road you can see an old plane wreck right in front of the entrance. Above the entrance you can see a large “Dunaújváros Airport” sign.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Unfortunately there is no bus stop neither railway station near the Dunaújváros Airport, so best option is to arrive by car or by private transfer. However, if you still prefer public transport (this is the cheapest option), you can reach Dunaújváros town by bus or train and take a taxi to the airport (approx. 9 km taxi drive).

In the “From” field write/select the following:
Budapest Déli (Budapest-Déli) or Budapest Kelenföld (Budapest-Kelenföld).
In the “To” field, write/select the following:
Dunaújváros (do not choose: Dunaújváros külső !!!)
Travel times ar min. 1 h 26 m from Kelenföld train station and 1 h 33 m from Déli Pályaudvar train station. Please expect longer travel times due to possible train delays!
